In today’s digital age it’s incredibly difficult to commit a crime and get away with it. Sharing information about it on social media has also helped out victims of said crime, and the biggest figure in Mixed Martial Arts just proved it.
Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White was the victim of an attempted break in and the culprit was caught on camera. White shared the image on social media, and placed a bounty on his head to turn him into police. Within hours, Brady Cooper was charged with two criminal offenses relating to the break-in. it is unknown if he was in custody.
The video shows Cooper, 23, trying numerous times to break into White’s home, and upon seeing the security camera, tried to take the device. White revealed on social media that he was not at home, but family members were inside.
Breaking and entering is a serious crime, but the absurdity of the break in is astounding. After failing to break into the house, he tried to take the camera. Security video isn’t just sved in the device, so that was ultimately it was a bad move. Technology can transfer data from one source to another, as what White showed in the video.
The modern age has shrunken the world in a sway we’ve never seen, and this moment was one of several that shows it pays to be a criminal.
