The UFC 300 concluded a few weeks back. The event was spectacular, as it was filled with a ton of knockouts and scraps. The card was built around Alex Pereira and the former champion Jamahal Hill. Alex Pereira emerged victorious after knocking out Hill in the first round via a viscous left hook. Jamahal Hill gave his take on what transpired when he was knocked out in his bout on his social media handle. UFC commentator and podcast Joe Rogan seemed to agree with the former Light Heavyweight champion.
Alex Pereira became a two-division champion within his first nine fights in the company, a feat no one has achieved before in the UFC.
Joe Rogan agrees with Jamahal Hill’s claim
Jamahal Hill claimed on his social media handle that his knockout loss against Alex Pereira was controversial. Before the knockout occurred, Hill seemed to have hit Alex with a groin shot, and the referee came to stop the fight, but Pereira was in no mood to halt the bout
and took a leap and hit Jamahal with a left hook, who was still not very ready to scrap. Joe Rogan, on his podcast, seemed to agree with Jamahal Hill and said,
Watch Jamahal, and see what happens. Watch Jamahal, see his legs lock up, and he relaxes. He gives a thumbs up ‘We cool’, and he touched Herb and now they are back at it.
Joe Rogan made it clear that he totally agrees with Hill’s claim. Rogan claimed that Hill was not totally ready for the fight to continue, given that the bout always stops whenever there is a groin strike. Joe emphasized that Alex Pereira never lost his stance and took a massive leap when the fight was stopped, gaining a massive advantage over Hill, who was still not mentally ready.

After losing the title fight, Jamahal Hill is still in high spirits. He even confirmed his next bout against Khalil Rountree Jr. They are slated to fight in June. Hill promised Pereira that he would see him again soon. On the other hand, Alex Pereira has made history and will look towards his next title defense in the company.
