While the combat sports world is gearing up for UFC 305, there is a huge update on the next PPV event. The bantamweight title fight between champion Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili will headline the UFC 306 (also dubbed Riyadh Season Noche UFC) at Sphere in Nevada, Las Vegas. Meanwhile, the women’s flyweight champ Alexa Grasso will brawl with Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event. But the latter match has an insurance policy.
Recently, Manon Fiorot’s manager, Aldric Cassata, announced that Fiorot would be traveling to Vegas as a backup fighter. In case any of the fighters fails to participate in the fight, she will come in as a cover.
“Manon is officially (planned as) the backup for the belt. She will be in Vegas,” Cassata said.
Cassata also revealed that the UFC has yet to make any announcement on Fiorot being a cover. Notably, the 34-year-old French fighter has a record of 12-1-0. She is currently ranked second in the women’s flyweight division and fourth in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings.
