After successfully hosting UFC Fight Night, Dana White’s promotion will now travel to Perth, Australia, for UFC 305. The upcoming PPV event takes place on August 18 at the RAC Arena. Moreover, it’s the third and first time since UFC 284 in February 2024 that the promotion will have an event in Perth. Also, it will mark the start of a multiyear deal in which the Ultimate Fighting Championship will conduct two events annually in the city. In addition, Israel Adesanya would take on Dricus du Plessis in a middleweight title match in the main event.
Who Will Win Dricus Du Plessis Vs. Israel Adesanya At UFC 305?
After defeating Sean Strickland earlier this year at the UFC 297, Du Plessis became the first South African to hold the middleweight title. What’s more interesting is that it was his ninth consecutive MMA victory. The fighter, also known as ‘Stillknocks,’ is currently unbeaten in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has won seven out of seven bouts. Moreover, he has an impressive MMA record of 21-2-0.
Meanwhile, Adesanya has been absent from the UFC ever since losing his middleweight title to Strickland at UFC 293. His fight with Du Plessis at UFC 305 marks his return to the octagon after over 11 months. ‘The Last Stylebender’s recent social media post also signals that he now has a better physique coming to RAC Arena. Notably, he has won 24 out of the 27 MMA fights in his career. However, two of his three defeats have come in 2023 itself.
The big question here is who will win the bout on August 18? Considering Adesanya is coming off an extended break, he will surely be much fresher than Du Plessis. Moreover, people who call ‘Stillknocks’ better than Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa should know that ‘The Last Stylebender’ knocked them out in their prime. So, it will certainly be Adesanya who will reclaim his lost gold this coming Sunday.
