Dan Hooker seems to have accidentally revealed his potential opponent for UFC 305. The lightweight fighter, eager to compete on the UFC 305 card in Australia, suggested that he might face a high-ranking UFC lightweight fighter. Hooker, currently ranked eleventh in the lightweight division, plans to return next month at UFC 305 in Perth. He is expected to face Polish contender Mateusz Gamrot in a matchup reportedly scheduled for the event at RAC Arena.
Dan Hooker posted an image on Instagram showing potential fights for UFC 305, including a middleweight title bout between South Africa’s Dricus du Plessis and New Zealand’s Israel Adesanya, a flyweight match between Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg, and a lightweight clash between Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker.
Hooker has been out of action since UFC 290 in July of last year, where he suffered a broken arm but still managed to secure a split-decision win over Jalin Turner. Mateusz Gamrot ranked fifth in the lightweight division. He recently earned his third consecutive victory by defeating former champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 299 in March.
