The UFC 303 is finally here and will take place in the sin city, Las Vegas, later this weekend. After a ton of chaos and many fighters dropping out of the card, the UFC 303 will be headlined by Alex Pereria and Jiri Prochazka, who will take on each other for the second time. Apart from the main event, there are a ton of clashes on the card.
In this write-up, we examine who is fighting in the prelims and how the fights will unfold later this week.
UFC 303 Prelims Preview
The prelims are gonna begin with Bantamweight ace Payton Talbott taking on Yanis Ghemmouri in the octagon. Talbott boasts an unbeaten record in the cage and is a heavy favorite in the bout against Ghemmouri. Talbott is a much more versatile fighter in the cage than his opponent, and Yanis might struggle with Payton’s grappling and striking credentials throughout the night.
Candian star Charles Joudain is taking on the up-and-coming Brazilian Featherweight Jean Silva. Jourdain is the slight favorite, but this fight will be close, as Silva has caused upsets in the past. Both the fighters are great strikers and decent grapplers and will inflict damage on each other. It will be interesting to see what happens in this scrap. Featherweight veteran Cub Swanson, who has fought some of the biggest fighters in the Featherweight division, is all set to take on Andre Fili.
Fili is a slight favorite in the cage, but Swanson’s experience can be valuable as the fight progresses. In the main prelim fight, Joe Pfyer will take on Marc-Andre Barriault. Pfyer is the heavy favorite in the cage and is in possession of some heavy knockout power. Barriault might want to be a bit careful and will want to avoid the overhand right.
It will be interesting to see how the event comes together.
