The UFC 300 is one of the most memorable cards in recent memory, given the number of champions set to be featured at the main event. Despite several great matchups on the card, the main attraction is still Alex Pereira taking on Jamhal Hill in the main event. Pereira is a fan favorite in the company, mainly due to his stellar striking. Going into the fight, we look at some ways Pereira can raise his hand in the octagon at UFC 300.
The bout between Periera and Hill is set to be the main attraction in UFC 300.
Three ways in which Alex can beat Hill at the UFC 300
Alex Pereira last fought Jiri Prochazka, who he beat in the second round via a viscous left hook. Alex Pereira is the heavy favorite in the main event of UFC 300. But one can never count out Hill since he has some serious knockout power. Here are some ways by which Periera might cause severe damage to his opponent.
1. Left Hook
Alex Pereira has beaten many of his rivals with his traditional left hook. He even hurt and knocked out Israel Adesanya with a ruthless left hook during their kickboxing days at the Glory championship. Alex even won his light Heavyweight title when he shut out the lights of Jiri Prochazka in the second round of their fight and should use the same at UFC 300.
2. Keeping Distance
Alex Pereira is a much better striker than Hill. He can try and avoid getting into wrestling scrambles and snipes from a distance, hurt Jamahal Hill, and win on points at UFC 300. Hill wouldn’t be able to do a lot if Alex decided to keep his distance from him. Sean O’Malley adopts similar strategies in the octagon to outstrike their opponents.
3. Flying Knee
Alex Pereira has one more lethal weapon up his sleeve and might want to use it in UFC 300. That is his flying knee. He has landed several knees throughout his career and even landed one in the UFC when he knocked out Bruno Silva in spectacular fashion.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the octagon come the main event of UFC 300.
