It’s been more than three decades since the UFC started its mainstream events. In the past thirty years the UFC has set the standard of conducting and hosting major MMA events. This is the 300th event that the company is conducting which is set to take place next month in the sin city Las Vegas. UFC 300 will be headlined by Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill.
The main event is going to be an enticing bout given kickboxing legend Alex Peieira is set to take on former champion Jamahal Hill.
MMA Fighters and Experts predict UFC 300’s main event
Alex Periera will have to defend his light heavyweight title for the very first time against a very versatile Jamahal Hill. In a video uploaded by James Lynch many MMA professionals have given their take on the main event and who they think is gonna take home the big prize.
UFC Welterweight Bryan Battle said,
That’s a crazy fight. I am gonna with Jamahal Hill with this one. I am a big Peireira fan but the way Jamahal fights the combination, how big he is, how unorthodox he is.
UFC Featherweight Christian Rodriguez was clear on who he’s going to chose as his opponent. He said,
I got Peieira.

UFC Lightweight Austin Habbard gave a rather different opinion on the bout, he said,
That’s another fun one. Jamahal Hill comings off that injury. He’s really motivated. He never really lost his title. He had to relinquish through injuries so I think he’s going to come in ready.
Habbard was adamant on the fact that despite going through a ton of injuries Hill is going to reclaim his title back.
The MMA world is clearly divided on who’s going to take home the light heavyweight strap at UFC 300 in the next month. Alex Pereira will want to put away Hill as soon as possible with his exceptional kickboxing ability. Whereas Hill will want to use his wrestling pedigree given the fact that Alex has struggled against pure grapplers.
Alex Pereira won the light heavyweight title when he knocked out Jiri Prochazka via a viscous left hook. He’s one of the handful of the two division champions in UFC history. It’ll be interesting to see if he will be able to successfully defend his light heavyweight title given he failed to defend the title in the middleweight division. UFC 300 can’t come soon enough as patience is running thin in the MMA world.
