Justin Gaethje has brought in UFC bantamweight Cory Sandhagen to prepare for Max Holloway.
Holloway will be moving up to lightweight for his upcoming fight against Gaethje. The highly anticipated fight will be for Gaethje’s BMF title and will take place at the UFC’s historic UFC 300 card in April.
For those unaware, Justin Gaethje won the UFC BMF title after beating Dustin Poirier last year. The title was vacated after Jorge Masvidal retired. Interestingly, this would be the first time that the BMF title is being defended.
Ahead of the highly anticipated fight, it has been revealed that Gaethje is sparring with former UFC bantamweight title challenger Cory Sandhagen. The 31-year-old currently boasts a record of 17-4 and was last seen in action against Rob Font in August last year when he won the fight via unanimous decision.
That said, it is certainly a valuable addition to the camp of Justin Gaethje and it will be interesting to see how the fight plays out at UFC 300. Take a look at the fan reactions to the news:

Can Justin Gaethje become the UFC lightweight champion?
Justin Gaethje is undoubtedly one of the best fighters in the lightweight division. He is also the former UFC interim lightweight champion. However, he has failed in his quest to become an undisputed champion twice.
First, Gaethje took on Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2020 via second-round submission. Later, he got the opportunity again in 2022 against Charles Oliveira, however, he lost the fight via submission in the very first round.
That said, Justin Gaethje has been on a two-fight winning streak since then and if he manages to get past Max Holloway at UFC 300, he will certainly put himself in contention for a title shot once more.
