The UFC 300 is set go down next week in the sin city, Las Vegas. There are a ton of exciting matchups in the whole card and one of them is between the two former champions namely Cody Garbrandt and Deiveson Figueiredo. There was a ton of trash talk between the two going into the fight. Cody has responded to his opponents claim in a rather brutal manner in a recent interview.
Both Cody and Deiveson have been phenomenal champions of the Bantamweight and the Flyweight divisions.
Cody Garbrandt responds to his rival ahead of UFC 300
Cody became the champion of the Bantamweight division when he beat Dominick Cruz in a rather impressive manner. Cody is set to feature on the UFC 300 undercard in the prelims. He is one of the many champions fighting on the April of thirteenth. Garbrandt responded to Deiveson’s claims that he is mentally weak and not ready for their fight at the UFC 300. Cody said,
Maybe that’s something he has going on mentally where he has to foreshadow or put out there to try to get in my head. But I already know what it is and I have been focused on training camp training hard, training like a mad man. I’m just hungry.
Cody made it clear that he is not focusing on what the Brazilian has to say as he is just focusing on his training camp. He emphasized on the fact that Deiveson might himself be going through a tough time mentally and he is willing to expose that come the fight day. Cody is just focusing on his training and willing to do his talking inside of the Octagon.
Deiveson Figueiredo is making his Bantamweight debut against the former champion and Cody will be willing to make his spectacular return. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in their matchup as both of them are spectacular strikers. Figueiredo might have a better ground game but he might have a tough time dealing with his opponent’s boxing skills and movement inside of the octagon.
