Israel Adesanya, the Former Middleweight champion of the world, has taken on some of the biggest names in the company. One of them is the current light Heavyweight champion of the world, Alex Pereira. Israel fought him two times over the past three years, winning and losing once. Like every MMA fan worldwide, Israel waits for the UFC 300 card to begin. He recently gave out his prediction about who will come out on top in the main event.
Alex Pereira is set to fight Jamahal Hill in the main event of the much-anticipated UFC 300. Israel last fought inside the octagon when he lost his title to former champion Sean Strickland.
Israel Adesanya gives his take on the UFC 300 main event
Israel Adesanya might be in the best position to give his take on the main event of the UFC 300 card. Israel Adesanya knows what it takes to fight and defeat Alex Pereira in the middle of the octagon. On the bout between Alex and Hill, Adesanya said,
Five rounds. So it’s gonna be a slow start in the first round. They are gonna face each other out, get some shots off. Alex is gonna be throwing the leg kick and Jamahal will be finding his jab and trying to get his fists to Alex’s head. I’m gonna go Jamhal by KO. I think it’s gonna be in the first two and a half.
Israel clarified that the two giants will test the waters in the first round. Both will maintain the distance, and Pereira will spam his trademark leg kick while Hill will test Alex with the jab. He claimed that Hill was going to win by knockout against the kickboxer. Hill won the title against Glover Teixeira but had to give it up due to an injury he suffered on the basketball court.
Pereira’s fans will not be happy listening to Israel’s prediction. Alex Pereira is still the heavy favorite in the octagon, given that he won his previous bouts rather impressively. It’ll be interesting to see if the Brazilian favelas or American greatness emerge victorious at the weekend at UFC 300.
