Max Holloway has seen much luck in the featherweight division of the UFC. He captured the UFC gold at the 145 pound division previously. Holloway is an interesting spot currently where he has beaten almost everyone in the division barring the champion.
When the UFC offered him the chance to jump up the division at UFC 300 and fight Max Holloway for the BMF title he grabbed it by both hands. Max Holloway was advised by many as they criticized his decision to take on the man who’s known for violence. Recently UFC commentator Joe Rogan backed Holloway on moving to the lightweight division.
Max Holloway is set to take on Justin Gaethje next month at the UFC 300.
Joe Rogan on Max Holloway fighting in UFC 300
Joe Rogan has involved with the UFC since forever now. He has commentating with the UFC since more than two decades. Rogan is often considered one of the most smartest when it comes to MMA. In a video uploaded by MMA Zone Rogan recently talked about Holloway jumping to the lightweight division. He said,
He’s got a lot of time to prepare for this. The first time when he fought at 55, when he fought Dustin was a short notice fight. He didn’t really have time to bulk up. Like I don’t know how short notice it was but he didn’t bulk up. I think he just tried to fight.
Rogan made it clear that in the first outing against Dustin Poirier in the lightweight division Holloway did not have the time to put on muscle in the short time span. Max ultimately lost the fight to the veteran. But this time around Max is very well prepared according to the photos doing rounds on the internet where the Hawaiian looks bulked up.

Joe Rogan is of the belief that the fight will be much more competitive in the next month at UFC 300. Holloway’s primary style is boxing and Poirier’s style is boxing too. It’ll be interesting to ee who comes out top in their matchup. Holloway is convinced that the result will different this time than his last lightweight outing in the company.
It’ll be interesting to see who will be holding the BMF title after all is said and done. Will it be Max’s speed or Justin’s violence that will triumph next month at the UFC 300? It remains to be seen.
