The weigh-ins for UFC 299 will take place on Friday starting from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. But this time the fighters will be required to record their weights by hitting the scale between 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. This time in UFC 299 the fighters will get an hour less, rather than getting 2 full hours, which is the normal time allotted.
The extra hour from 10 am to 11 am will be given to the fighters who couldn’t make up to the contracted weight, they will be allowed to get on the scale again.
Following an early report from Cageside Press on a revised plan for the weigh-ins, the Florida Athletic Commission confirmed the changes to the weigh-in rules to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.

UFC 299: All Fighters Need To Hit The Weigh-In Scale Within A Time Frame Of 1 Hour
Each fighter will have one extra hour to attempt to make weight if they miss it on Friday. However, to avoid a fine or fight cancellation, each athlete needs to be on the scale by 10 a.m.
The FAC has been using a modified procedure for some time, according to Shipman, which will enable commission physicians to undertake more thorough examinations on combatants before approving them to keep losing weight.
Because UFC 299 features a full 14 fights and 28 fighters, it also makes for a hectic Friday morning in Miami. Towards the end of the weigh-in window, the heavyweights will not be allowed to casually stroll over to the scales.
The main event of the card, which takes place at the Kaseya Center, is bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley defending his title against Marlon “Chito” Vera. The co-main event has Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint Denis square off in a lightweight bout.
