UFC 299 is approaching fast and boasts a star-studded fight card that is shaping up to be a highly exciting event.
The pay per view will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, next Saturday, March 9th. The event will be headlined by a Sean O’Malley who will be making his first UFC bantamweight title defense against Marlon Vera. The two previously fought back in 2020 when Vera handed O’Malley his first professional loss.
That said, in this piece we will take a look at the expected payouts for Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera ahead of their highly anticipated rematch. As of now, there is no official report suggesting how much the two fighters will make. However, looking at the numbers from their previous bouts, we can get an estimate.
Sean O’Malley was last seen inside the octagon against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 when he won the bantamweight championship. Marlon Vera on the flip side, was also on the same card and he took on Pedro Munhoz. In a report released by Sports Payouts, it was revealed that O’Malley took home an estimated $1.43 million. Vera, reportedly earned somewhere around $465k for his victory over Munhoz.
That said, it’s safe to assume that both O’Malley and Vera will make a bit more than what they did in their respective bouts previously. While ‘Sugar’ will look to earn upwards of $1.4 million, ‘Chito’ can pocket more than $500k this weekend.
