The former champion is one of the biggest stars in the Middleweight division. Israel can be Dricus’s next opponent for his first title defense. He was one of the longest-reigning champions in the division. Israel has stated before that he would love to face Dricus in a battle for who’s the best fighter of African origin. If Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis are to scrap, it will be one of the highest-selling bouts in the recent past. Many will agree that Israel deserves the chance to go at the title once more.
2. Sean Strickland
Sean Strickland is one of the most interesting personalities in the UFC. He is one of the absolute fan favorites mainly because of his outspoken nature. Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis also had one of the all-time great title scraps in UFC history. The middleweight title fight between the duo was rather close, and anyone could have been chosen as the winner. Given how close his first title defense was, Strickland deserves the chance to fight for the title.
3. Winner of Khamzat vs Robert Whittaker
The UFC recently announced that Robert Whittaker is set to take on the up-and-coming trailblazer Khamzat Chimaev. This is going to be one of the most interesting bouts in the company.
