Fighters have come a long way since their UFC debut, but fans are always excited to see what their favorite fighters were like as kids. Alex Pereira’s inspiring story of working at a tire repair shop before becoming a champion resonates with many. However, fans had mixed reactions when they saw a childhood snapshot of Umar Nurmagomedov.
Umar is set to fight the biggest battle of his career as he challenges Merab Dvalishvili’s bantamweight title at UFC 311. At just 29 years old, the Russian fighter has already earned his own bantamweight title, and now he’s aiming for more. Ahead of his title fight, a childhood photo of Umar surfaced, showing him in decent shape, but fans had mixed reactions. One fan humorously commented, “Juiced to the gills.”

Ali Abdelaziz Believes Umar Nurmagomedov Can Match Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Record
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired undefeated, leaving behind a legacy many thought would never be matched. However, Dominance MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz believes his fighter, Umar Nurmagomedov, has what it takes to surpass Khabib’s 29-0 record. Umar, currently on an 18-fight win streak, is preparing for a bantamweight title shot against Merab Dvalishvili. Abdelaziz is confident that Umar can retire undefeated, saying,
“There’s no doubt in my mind Umar will be a champion at 135 pounds, and I believe Umar is going to be a champion for a long time. I think Umar is the only guy who can really challenge Khabib’s record. He can retire undefeated, 29-0, 30-0. Of course, he has a tough opponent, but I believe Umar is better everywhere.”
🦅 Umar Nurmagomedov is the only fighter who can surpass Khabib Nurmagomedov’s undefeated record and possibly retire 30-0, according to Ali Abdelaziz:

To beat Khabib’s legacy, Umar needs 11 more wins to match his 29-0 record, and 12 to top it. It’s a big challenge, but with Khabib personally training him, Umar’s improving every day. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
