Joaquin Buckley pokes Leon Edwards
There’s been a heavy debate on who will fight Leon for the Welterweight gold next. Many believe Leon owes Belal Muhammad a fight, given their history in the octagon. When Leon and Belal last scrapped, the fight was declared a no-contest because of the eye poke that Belal suffered at the hands of Belal. As it turns out, contender Joaquin Buckley I not a fan of Edwards running away from a fight with Belal. A journalist claimed to have found a poster that poked fun at Leon. The poster wrote,
Most Inactive fighter on the UFC roster. 10 years in UFC with only three knockouts.
The poster claimed Leon’s biggest fear was losing the belt to Belal Muhammad. He also claimed Leon was on his back in the fifth round of his last fight. Leon Edwards has yet to respond to Joaquin’s antics. No one could have predicted what Buckley did to Leon, given that Buckley is not really in the top five of the Welterweight rankings.
