Shara Magomedov is expected to remain one of the UFC’s most active fighters, beloved by fans for his unique Muay Thai-inspired fighting style. Known as “Bullet,” he has already fought three times and is making plans for 2025. The fan-favorite is scheduled to make his fifth appearance on February 1 at the UFC event in Saudi Arabia.
Magomedov made his UFC debut against Bruno Silva at UFC 294, winning the match by unanimous decision. He remains undefeated in the UFC and has earned three performance bonuses throughout his fights. Now, he is aiming for another victory and bonus at UFC Saudi Arabia next year.
In 2024, Magomedov fought three times, winning each match. After Ihor Potieria withdrew to fight Michel Pereira, Magomedov matched with Joilton Lutterbach, who also withdrew due to a positive drug test, leading to Antonio Trocoli stepping in.
Magomedov won by technical knockout in the third round, earning a Performance of the Night award. He then defeated Michał Oleksiejczuk by unanimous decision on August 3, 2024, receiving a Fight of the Night award. Finally, on October 26, 2024, he knocked out Armen Petrosyan with a spinning backfist at UFC 308, earning another Performance of the Night award.
Bo Nickal Discusses Potential Matchup With Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov
Magomedov has announced a fight set for February 1, 2025, although his opponent remains undisclosed. The undefeated Russian recently delivered a knockout that could be a contender for KO of the year against Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 and joined the top 15 of his division. Bo Nickal, who has shown interest in facing Magomedov, commented on his recent knockout during an appearance on the Nickels and Dimes Podcast.
“Crazy (KO), bro. That was insane. Who does double-spinning backfists? And you know he was hitting it on the pads before the fight, too? There’s clips of him hitting it, bop bop. I mean, it’s like, I would like to fight him, but it’s not a tough fight, and I would have to go to Abu Dhabi, or I would have to go to Saudi, which I would do, but I think it’s not a tough fight,” he said.
