Sean Strickland is not holding back against his training partner. Speaking about Khamzat Chimaev, ‘Tarzan’ lashed out at the UFC fighter for his close relationship with Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov. The former middleweight champion has been at verbal war with Chimaev for a long time now. With the undefeated fighter likely in line next to challenge for the UFC middleweight belt, Strickland does not like the idea at all.
Moreover, in a recent interaction with Daniel Cormier, Strickland further doubled down on his hatred for Khamzat Chimaev. He mentioned that Chimaev was in Saudi Arabia now to avoid visa complications in the US.
“Chimaev is a bully man. Even like the crypto scam… If you have an open honest opinion on Chimaev, you’re looking at a man who lacks dignity. You can’t become friends with a murderer… There’s a reason why he’s in Saudi Arabia right now,” said Strickland.
Infact, this is not the first time that Strickland had criticized the Chechnian fighter. Meanwhile, not taking a liking to Strickland’s words, Chimaev recently hit him back with stern words.
Khamzat Chimaev Mocks Sean Strickland
Khamzat Chimaev seems to have had enough of Sean Strickland’s trash talk. Strickland had earlier criticized Khamzat Chimaev for accepting gifts from Kadyrov. While Strickland accused him of fleeing to Chechnya for his own benefit, Chimaev too, hit back with mockery on his former training partner.
“Why are you baby crying all the time?” Chimaev wrote on X. “Father didn’t give you love, or he showed his love to you too much?”

Well, with verbal shots being taken from both ends, things just got even more personal. Now, it will be interesting to see if the duo locks horns inside the UFC octagon in future or not.
