Sean Strickland is scheduled to defend his middleweight title against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 in Toronto on January 20, but it appears as though the champ didn’t want to wait that long.
Both men were present at UFC 296 in Las Vegas tonight, and after jawing at each other in the crowd, they eventually went at it.
Several angles have emerged of the brawl, which shows both men standing at their seats and yelling at each other before Stickland suddenly jumped over a few rows and started delivering a flurry of elbows and punches to DDP.

Hopefully this brawl doesn’t affect their upcoming bout, because UFC 297 just got a whole lot more interesting.
The press conference and weigh-ins should be fun.
