The controversial boxer Ryan Garcia was recently suspended for using illegal substances. Meanwhile, Sean O’Malley, who faced a similar suspension, commented on the possibility of accidental drug transfer. His remarks seem aimed at defending himself, but given Garcia’s similar situation, it might be a way of addressing both cases at once.
KingRy’s suspension came following a positive test result for Ostarine, a performance-enhancing drug. O’Malley faced a similar situation in 2019. He also faced banned when enough amounts of Ostarine were found in his system. Recently, O’Malley addressed the issue in a YouTube video, explaining how he was unintentionally exposed to the drug. He said:
“So I got I got suspended a couple of years ago… I remember when that happened, my levels were so low, the scientists were like, It has to be a tainted supplement. So we tested all the supplements that I was taking at the time. There was nothing in there was not any of those supplements…“
“None of us took anything. We all swore on our lives. And I remember asking USADA and UFC Can it be transferred through Sweat? And they said, No, not at this time.”
Although officials have not confirmed Suga’s recent statement on drug transfer through sweat, its impact on Garcia remains uncertain. The 25-year-old boxer has been suspended for a year, and there have been hints of his possible retirement from boxing. He even hinted at retirement on social media, leaving his future in the sport unclear.

The Irish fighter chose not to address the attack directly but laughed off O’Malley’s comments and referenced a recent study suggesting that Ostarine could be transmitted through sweat.
O’Malley’s latest comments have stirred up quite a reaction, particularly from McGregor. The 36-year-old’s response was a simple laugh, which said a lot. With McGregor currently sidelined from the UFC, fans eagerly await his return, and his absence has only intensified their anticipation for his comeback.
