UFC champion O’Malley is currently married to his wife Danya Gonzalez. While they both have a daughter together, they share a very unique relationship where he can do what he wants outside of the relationship.
“I’m a king, I pay for everything,” O’Malley said while a guest on Bradley Martyn’s “Raw Talk” podcast.
“I treat Danya like a queen. If I get a little p – s on the side, what does that have to do with anything? I have testosterone running through my veins; it’s simple.”
O’Malley made these remarks on his podcast, The Timbo Sugar Show, where he was asked by his co-host Tim Welch about his views on monogamy. The recently-crowned UFC bantamweight champion has long been in an open relationship with his wife, Danya Gonzalez, and he once claimed they have “dope threesomes” together.
O’Malley said his success in the octagon has a lot to do with what he pleases to do outside of it. Although Sean O’Malley has the freedom to sleep with other women, he has stopped letting his partner do the same due to Andrew Tate’s influence. During his appearance on the Flagrant podcast, Sean revealed how Andrew Tate has had a major influence on their relationship.
“If I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t, you know, successful in any sort of way, and I was just like maybe an average Joe, I probably wouldn’t. It probably wouldn’t be fair. But I’m f – ing King Kong baby,” O’Malley said.
“Andrew Tate explains it well. It’s status. You know I got status, so I can,” O’Malley said.
Tate is currently facing human trafficking charges in Romania, which he has denied.

O’Malley also said that his wife is “never fine with it” and that she goes “through phases” when it comes to accepting their relationship choices.
The couple has a daughter together, Elena, who was born in 2020.
“I’m a crazy mother F er,” O’Malley said. “I put myself on a leash. I have to live a very disciplined lifestyle. I could, for sure, go out, do some bumps, and go off the rails easily. If I didn’t have discipline … oh dude, I would be crazy. I would be Conor [McGregor] for sure. I would be hitting booger sugar on my yacht and blow all my money.
“But I live a very disciplined life, and if I want to get a little bit of p – sy sometimes, what the F. It makes me a better man.”
O’Malley’s comments have been met with criticism and backlash from fans, media, and fellow fighters.
O’Malley is currently the UFC bantamweight champion, having won the title by stopping Aljamain Sterling in the second round in the main event at UFC 292 at the TD Garden. He is 17-1-0 in 18 fights.
