On Monday, the UFC cancelled Conor McGregor’s press conference in Dublin for his UFC 303 bout with Michael Chandler, scheduled for June 29. The former world champion would be making his Octagon comeback in Las Vegas. It was to be his first fight since suffering a broken leg during his trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier three years prior.
Free tickets for the event of UFC 303 sold out in less than five minutes. A news conference was scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. BST at the 3Arena in the Irish capital. However, the UFC said it was off, somewhat ominously, “until further notice” ten hours before that scheduled start time.
Did Conor McGregor’s Love For Parties Put Him Into Trouble?
Before his recent return to the UFC 303, Conor McGregor was spotted enjoying at a nightclub. That raised questions about his preparedness for the contest. McGregor was spotted kissing and dancing with his fiancée, Dee Devlin. It’s important to remember that the fighter previously declared he doesn’t use alcohol while training.
Concerned about McGregor’s commitment to the fight, slated to take place a month later against Michael Chandler, several fans wondered if he was taking the contest seriously.
And now, in an unprecedented move, the UFC has cancelled the press conference for UFC 303 in less than 12 hours. The event, scheduled to take place in Dublin, Ireland, was cancelled, and no new date was provided in a post that went viral on social media.
UFC posted on their social media platform X, that stated, “ Dear UFC Fans–

In his remarks to the media in Newark on Saturday after UFC 302, UFC president Dana White did not bring up any problems. He was anticipated to be present for the event on Monday.
Just a few weeks before his return to the Octagon, the former two-division UFC champion was spotted having fun. Social media was instantly ablaze with speculation about the reason for the cancellation, with many people accusing McGregor.
