After leaving the UFC with a 5-4 record, the strawweight dabbled in professional wrestling, bare-knuckle boxing, and crossover boxing before she landed a spot in Dana White’s Power Slap. Debuting at Power Slap 8, VanZant defeated Christine Volmarans via unanimous decision. However, the victory has baffled the MMA fans.
Controversy Surrounds VanZant’s Victory Over Volmarans
VanZant defeated Volmarans unanimously, with all three scorecards reading 30-25. After startling “The Edge” in the first round, “12 Gauge” forced Volmaranas to take a knee in round two and sent her to the ground in round three. On the other hand, VanZant showed no signs of effect throughout the contest.

Even though VanZant received a flinching foul violation in round 3, MMA fans felt she fouled throughout the fight. Some even associated the victory with her close relationship with Dana White. Others felt the match was rigged in VanZant’s favor. Nevertheless, the victory was VanZant’s first in four and half years.
Paige VanZant has not won since she submitted Rachael Ostovich at UFC Fight Night 143. She went on to lose two fights at BKFC, one to Ostovich and recently drew in her crossover boxing debut against Elle Brooke, an OnlyFans model, and pornographic content creator.
