Greg Hardy is getting a second chance.
The former Dallas Cowboys defensive end will receive his next promotional bout at UFC Fight Night in Sunrise, Fla., on April 27 against Dmitry Smolyakov, sources told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
The heavyweight got himself disqualified from his Octagon debut in January after delivering an illegal knee to the head versus Allen Crowder.
Before that bout, Hardy was unstoppable as he knocked out fighter after fighter with ease. He now gets another chance to prove himself on the big stage.
The former NFLer lost his career after his domestic violence past became too much and he was essentially and rightfully blackballed out of the league as a result.
