Some great athletes have fought in the UFC in past decades. But when it comes to singling out an MMA fighter who is, above all, many will agree that Jon Jones is on a level of his own. The reigning Heavyweight champion is in camp to take on the legendary Stipe Miocic. Jon, one of the most active fighters on social media, gave out his strategy to prepare for big fights.
Jon Jones Gives Out His Camp Secrets
Jon Jones has won all fifteen title fights. He is now one of the few who became champions in two divisions. Jones returned from a four-year hiatus and finished Cyril Gane in the first round of the Heavyweight title fight last year and is now in camp to prepare for the Heavyweight GOAT Stipe Miocic. Jones, on his social media handle, wrote,
I’m not a historian of war or anything, but I have learned a thing or two in my day. A big part of combat strategy is timing, and deception. To make a long story short, if your opponent appears weak, prepare even harder. Complacency is the greatest enemy to a fighter like myself.
The 36-year-old fighter clarified that he never underestimates his opponents in the cage. If he thinks the contender is looking weak and not ready for war, he prepares for the bout in the best way possible. The heavyweight champion claimed an elite MMA fighter should never adopt a complacent attitude in the cage. He revealed he would never become a victim of deception.
The heavyweight champion’s advice was rather interesting. Jones has been in title fights for over a decade and has dominated his opponents since he stepped inside the cage.
Jon Jones backs Curtis Blaydes to win against Tom Aspinall
Interim Heavyweight champion of the world Tom Aspinall is set to take on veteran Curtis Blaydes in the octagon in the co-main event of UFC 304. Jon Jones is sure that his countryman will put away the Brit. Jones said,

I wouldn’t be surprised if Curtis won, i’ve seen scenarios like this time and time again. Dude prematurely drinking his own Kool-Aid ends up with a huge piece of humble pie. I mean If Sergei can touch Tom that easy, I’m sure Curtis can too. When Curtis decides to go, he’s a lot faster than people realize, and he hits hard. A few well timed shots and that strong top game, it could be a long night for old Tommy boy. Either way, I’ll be watching, excited to have some additional footage
Jones is convinced that Tom Aspinall will be humbled by Blaydes when he takes on the American in the UFC 304 co-main event in Manchester, England. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Heavyweight division in near future.
