Tom Aspinall beat Russia’s Sergei Palovich in the first round via vicious knockout, cementing his status as a serious contender in the heavyweight division. However, Aspinall is still looking for his next opponent inside the octagon. He repeatedly claimed he wanted to take on Jon Jones inside the cage. Aspinall made some heavy accusations against Jones in his latest social media post.

Tom Aspinall levies accusations on Jon Jones
Tom Aspinall is the reigning interim Heavyweight champion of the world. He stated in an interview that he would love to become the undisputed champion in the UFC’s Heavyweight division, a title held by Jon Jones. Aspinall clarified that he is willing to take on Bones for a five-round title fight, but Jones might have other plans. Aspinall said,
Jon Jones is playing games again. Trying to convince the public what he wants and what he doesn’t want. Which he does really, really well.
Tom Aspinall made it clear that Jon Jones has no intentions of fighting him. His recent callout of Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has convinced him that Jon Jones is playing games with his contenders. Jones hinted at a possible clash with Alex Pereira in the Heavyweight division, which would see Pereira potentially become a three-division champion in the company.
Tom Aspinall clarified that he wants to take on Jones to have one undisputed champion in the company. He doesn’t like the company’s Heavyweight division having two champions. According to Aspinall Jones, he is unwilling to fight him in the cage anytime soon in the octagon.

Jon was set to take on Stipe Miocic last year but bowed out of the fight after getting injured in training. Jones recently announced that he has a date for the fight but will let Dana White announce it. His opponent is yet to be disclosed, but it’s improbable that it will be Tom. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the Heavyweight division shortly.
