At his gym, MMA personality The Schmo interviewed Strickland. The Schmo questioned Strickland about his thoughts on Jon Jones and Conor McGregor. During the interview, Strickland, also known as ‘Tarzan,’ addressed the possibility of Jones meeting with Tom Aspinall over the weekend he said:
“At the end of the day, Jon Jones is a piece of s**t. I know that. The whole world knows that. We don’t need to reiterate his past. He needs to sack up, fight Aspinall and f**king just get the s**t done.”

Given McGregor’s recent absence from the Octagon due to a leg injury, he is currently in the process of planning his comeback. While specific dates for his return have not been announced yet, Strickland was queried about his opinion on whether ‘The Notorious’ will make a comeback in 2024, Strickland said:
“I don’t know, man. Do we really care about Conor McGregor these days? I mean, he’s a juiced out, roided out guy. I mean, do we still care about Conor McGregor? Is he still a name in the UFC? Dude, go retire on a yacht. Be done with your s**t.”

Despite Strickland’s outspoken nature, McGregor has expressed his eagerness to return to the octagon possibly as early as UFC 303 in June, although no official announcement has been made.
