Brazilian UFC Star Paulo Costa has had an interesting career in the octagon. He started his UFC career with an absolute bang, staying undefeated and winning his fights spectacularly until he faced for the title. He’s been in quite a slump recently, losing two fights. In a clip uploaded online recently, he revealed what will resurge his MMA career.
Paulo Costa was once one of the promotion’s best and most sought-after fighters. However, his stock has gone down significantly recently.
Paulo Costa’s Master Plan To Be Back in the Title Scene
Former Middleweight title contender Paulo last lost to Sean Strickland in the octagon, which went the full five rounds in the cage. Costa struggled all night against Strickland as he couldn’t handle his deadly jab. Sean Strickland won the fight unanimously, and Costa lost his bout to Whittaker earlier this year in the cage. Paulo said,
To the bring back the [aggressiveness], to bring back the ferocity… I need that fight and Chimaev is the perfect guy.
Paulo Costa said he would love to take on Khamzat Chimaev if and when he returns to fighting. Khamzat was all set to fight Robert Whittaker at the main event of UFC Saudi Arabia at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh.
But the man had to withdraw from the bout with an injury, which many discuss as serious. Khamzat Chimaev has been undefeated in his career until now and is moving closer to a title fight with every victory.
