Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has pleaded not guilty to charges surrounding his arrest last month after allegedly smashing a cell phone and then taking it with him following an altercation outside a posh Miami hotel.
The alleged part can now be thrown in the trash after TMZ Sports got a hold of a camera footage outside the Miami hotel showing McGregor walking towards a fan recording him with a phone, grabbing it, and then smashing it on the ground.
His attorney Samuel Rabin made the plea for the Irish superstar who did not appear in court on Wednesday. The phone’s value at $1,000.
If convicted, McGregor could face up to six years in prison and/or up to a $6,000 fine.
It is highly unlikely he will ever see the inside of a jail cell for this incident.
The next court date set for McGregor is April 30.
