The UFC Saudi Arabia main event featuring Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker has been postponed. In light of the ongoing rumors surrounding Conor McGregor’s health in front of UFC 303, Khamzat Chimaev is officially questionable for UFC Fight Night on June 22 in Saudi Arabia.
With Khamzat Chimaev ruled out of UFC bout Night, Robert Whittaker may be looking for a new opponent just nine days before their scheduled bout in Saudi Arabia.
Australian MMA reporter Benny P. first disclosed that Chimaev is unfit to face Whittaker. Nassourdine Imavov is the clear favorite to take Chimaev’s spot.
UFC Saudi Arabia May Not See Khamzat Chimaev
A blow has been dealt to Saudi Arabia’s UFC Fight Night on June 22, as Khamzat Chimaev is reportedly out of commission. Although the reason behind Chimaev’s withdrawal from his bout against Whittaker has not been made public, it’s looking increasingly likely that we won’t be seeing him compete next weekend. Chimaev has not yet been fighting this year, and it is unclear when we will see him do so.
Neither the UFC nor MMA fans have had a very good month in June, as Conor McGregor’s fight with Michael Chandler is also questioned. Hopefully, the promotion will salvage the latter part of the month by bringing out at least one rabbit from its hat.
Fans, weren’t very thrilled when this news broke out on social media. One of the fan posted on his social media handle X, staging “I see you soon bratha *never fights again*”

The UFC has not officially provided an update on the 13-0 fighter, who has had health problems throughout his career.
A rash covering his upper body had caused Khamzat Chimaev to require a ventilator in the hospital at the beginning of 2024, but as he started training, fans believed that they could see the fighter inside the octagon.
