Muhammad Mokaev’s journey in MMA has been anything but ordinary. The 24-year-old flyweight sensation burst onto the UFC scene with high hopes and even higher expectations. His undefeated record and dominant performances had fans buzzing about a potential title shot. But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them.
In a shocking turn of events, Muhammad Mokaev found himself released from the UFC after his win at UFC 304. But he wasn’t one to sulk. He quickly rebounded by signing with BRAVE Combat Federation. He is apparently now the highest-paid flyweight without a title. But Mokaev’s true love still lies in the UFC.
“Highest paid flyweight fighter in the world right now without holding the title @bravemmaf. But of course my goal is come back to UFC because it is the number 1 promotion in the world right now!” wrote Mokaev via X.
Mokaev’s path back to the UFC isn’t exactly paved with gold. He will need to dominate in BRAVE CF and capture that flyweight title. But even impressing in the cage might not be enough. Muhammad Mokaev needs to mend fences with the UFC brass.
At 24, time is on Mokaev’s side. He’s got youth, talent, and now a chip on his shoulder. It’s a potent combination that could fuel his comeback story. Will Mokaev’s UFC dreams come true? Only time will tell.
Muhammad Mokaev Offers To Fight For Free If The UFC Takes Him Back
‘The Punisher’ was the undefeated fighter, tearing through the flyweight division like a tornado. Fans were already picturing him with that shiny UFC belt around his waist. But then, it all came crashing down. The UFC unceremoniously showed Mokaev the door after UFC 304. Dana White cited behavioral issues as the final straw.

Mokaev tried a lot of things to mend fences with the UFC brass. In an interview, he practically begged for a second chance as he offered to fight for free if the UFC took him back in their roster.
“I said to Hunter Campbell, I said, ‘Whatever I’ve done at the hotel, I’m ready to pay for that and fight [my] next fight in UFC for free for the trouble I made.’ I think it’s unprofessional but it was something that was in my heart for a long time. I have to get rid of it and I think I took a big lesson. Now I want to come back to [the] UFC, and hopefully I will be back,” said Mokaev via MMA Junkie.
With him now in the BRAVE combat federation, the goals that he will have come back to the UFC still remain slim. Dana White is known for his bold and brash persona, and taking in fighters he kicked out is something he would be unwilling to do. It would take nothing short of a miracle for Muhammad Mokaev to re-enter the UFC roster that he so craves.
