There are a few athletes hailing from Russia who made it to the absolute top of any sport. One of them is Khabib Nurmagomedov who dominated the lightweight division of the UFC for years. He beat everyone that the UFC put across him in the Octagon.
In a sport where bleeding is the norm he never bled once. The fight fans often hail Khabib as a true icon to represent MMA as he has expressed his willingness to speak up on any social cause plaguing the world. That was the case once more as Khabib took to social media to address the deadly terrorist attack which took place in his homeland Russia.
Khabib Nurmagomedov shaken by the terrorist attack in Moscow
A deadly mass shooting took place in the capital city of Russia in Moscow. According to the BBC there are at least 60 who lost their lives and over 100 who are injured. The Crocus City Hall was about to host a rock concert when four gunmen barged into the arena and opened fire on the attendees.
Khabib Nurmagomedov took to his social media handle and wrote,
I express my sincere condolences to the families of those killed in Moscow.
This is a very big tragedy, take care of yourself and your loved ones. People are NOT capable of this, this is the work of non-humans, everyone will answer for their nasty and vile act.
The former pound-for-pound number one did not shy away from expressing his disgust and paid his respect to the family of the deceased. Khabib made sure to mention the fact that the perpetrators will pay for their inhumane acts. Surely Khabib’s words will come as a respite for the families of the deceased.
