Joe Schilling has been catching a ton of criticism when he was seen involved in a violent altercation with a bar patron in a video posted to social media this past weekend.
The video shows Schilling attempting to move past the bar patron, who was standing in the middle of a walkway while talking to friends. Schilling attempts to move past him, which then leads to the altercation as the patron appears to step towards him in a threatening manner, which then leads to punches being thrown and the guy being knocked out.
“Self-defense is apparently not what this country is about anymore,” Schilling wrote. “Don’t trip, I got the video. Love you guys, thanks for the concern and support during my life threatening experience. Big shout out to The Yard Muay Thai for preparing me for this life threatening situation.”
After being blasted on social media for fighting a much smaller guy that posed no physical threat, Schilling to his Instagram story to add context about the guy.
Schilling revealed the guy was rapping ‘like an idiot’ when a Black bus boy walks by and the guy yells out “Me and broke ni–as we don’t get along.”

He also received direct messages revealing the guy was a domestic abuser as well.
