What a bizarre night at PFL 7 in Las Vegas.
On Friday night, welterweight MMA star Chris Curtis retired following a unanimous decision defeat to last year’s champion Magomed Magomedkerimov after two rounds of fighting.
In the locker room, Curtis would take to Instagram and announce his retirement from the sport.
After losing, however, Magomedkerimov fell ill ahead of his semifinal bout against Ray Cooper III, which meant Curtis would be allowed to face him.

That would turn out to be a terrible decision because Cooper would go on to absolutely knock him out and win.
