As if mixed martial arts wasn’t already violent enough, Russia has found a way to make sure more brain cells are lost in every bout by having fighters throw fists while inside a phone booth…
That’s right. Two guys in a tiny phone booth, throwing haymakers until someone is knocked out cold.
In this instance, it only took 15 seconds for that to happen — although, upon closer inspection, it appears as though he was knocked out at least five seconds earlier, but was forced to take a couple dozen extra shots for good measure.
Whoever sanctioned this clearly hasn’t heard of CTE. It’s a miracle that the loser of that bout was able to walk out of that phone booth under his own power, although he clearly looks to be in rough shape.
I’m not sure what they’re paying these guys, but it’s not enough.
