You know it’s hard to win ranked fights when no one in the rankings wanna fight him.
Most of the folks were ecstatic about the matchup as they knew the potential of another one of the top Dagestani contenders in the octagon. Umar is a phenomenal fighter who has demolished every one of his opponents in the cage. It will be interesting to see if Sandhagen can give Umar his first-ever career deficit. Umar has never faced a guy of Cory’s caliber in the octagon.
The bout between Cory and Umar will most probably be for the number one contender. The winner might fight for the title against Sean O’Malley. Umar Nurmagomedov will face his first big challenge to get in the octagon in the form of Cory Sandhagen. It’ll be intriguing to see who comes out on top.
