Conor McGregor is set to finally return to the octagon this summer against Michael Chandler. The Notorious was previously seen in action against Dustin Poirier back in 2021.
In that fight, McGregor suffered a leg break, which initially kept him out of action. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his return. Moreover, at one point, it looked like he would never return to the UFC again.
However, that is not the case, and Conor McGregor is set to return at UFC 303. Interestingly, McGregor wanted the fight to be three rounds. While it is scheduled for five, Michael Chandler has now reacted to it.
“It was very interesting, when I heard it [the three round reports] later on, I like five rounds… I like the idea of the training camp you have to put in for five rounds… One of us wants it, one of us didn’t. That’s a good indicator of who’s ready to go to battle. I’m excited, I’m glad it’s five rounds.”

Interestingly, he recently made a bold prediction for the fight and suggested that he does not see the fight lasting even two rounds; he said:
“He’s looking super slick… I said this from the start, I see similarities to the Mendes fight. I’d be surprised if it can go two rounds. [McGregor] hits too hard, he’s too sharp. Is there going to be scrappiness and a few takedowns and stuff? Maybe But every round starts on the feet and his ability to get back there is underestimated.”
