Tempers have started to flare between Merab Dvalishvili and Umar Nurmagomedov. Facing off in UFC 311 co-main event, the bantamweight champion will be facing the Dagestani challenge. Boasting an unbeaten record in the UFC, Nurmagomedov is expected to pose a serious challenge to Dvalishvili’s title. However, with less than a week to go for the fight, Dvalishvili had some audacious claims to make.
The champion believes that the hype around Umar is unnecessary. He also claims that the Dagestani did not work hard enough to earn the title shot. Thus, the Georgian is certain that he will ‘humble’ Umar Nurmagomedov.
“I’m just going to make him humble,” Dvalishvili told ’The Schmo.’ “I think Umar is spoiled little baby. He’s been disrespectful. You can go on his Twitter, and you guys all see how he disrespected the champion, but I’m just going to prove it.”
Dvalishvili also stated that he would be looking to break his undefeated streak, thus proving that Umar is not invincible. Meanwhile, leading up to the fight, Umar Nurmagomedov, too, had some sarcastic words for his opponent.

With the high-profile matchup coming up, Umar Nurmagomedov dropped an insulting take on his opponent. In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, Umar explored the idea of the bantamweight champion pulling out of the fight.
