Athletes are role models that young people look up to and find inspiration in. Their actions and advice hold great importance for the youth, guiding them in meaningful ways. It is not wrong to say that they act as towering lighthouses, guiding the youth through stormy seas of uncertainty. Similarly, Max Holloway recently shared advice for young people, encouraging them to avoid violence and take the old-school route by hitting the gym and focusing on self-improvement.
Before UFC 307, Holloway spoke with KHON2 News about gun violence in America. He suggested that when people have conflicts, they should handle their disputes without using guns, a more peaceful way to resolve disagreements.
Seeing the increase in violence among young people is alarming, so instead, Holloway urged them to hit the gym. He stressed the importance of putting guns aside and focusing on building themselves up through physical fitness or shifting their focus to the games.
In his words, “Put the guns down boys. If you guys got a problem, do it the old school way. Go to the boxing gym, put on some gloves and punch each other and then shake hands… Go to the gym, go lift weights. Play video games or something. Why shoot somebody, go play Apex or Call of Duty.”
Indeed, Holloway’s words will surely impact the younger generation. As one of the least controversial stars in the UFC, he leads a family-oriented life with his wife and kids, often sharing his love for gaming. His advice can definitely guide the youth to become a UFC star like him.

He stated, “As soon as he starts to fight me and exchange blows, that’s the end of the fight. Nobody can exchange blows with me because of my power and the technique I apply to each movement.”
