Max Holloway has had a rough go with Alexander Volkanovski, losing to him three times. Then along comes Ilia Topuria, who knocks out Volk in one go. Now, fans might think this would make Holloway nervous about facing Topuria at UFC 308. But nope! ‘Blessed’ is cool as a cucumber.
Holloway dropped some truth bombs in a recent chat with Brett Okamoto. He gave Topuria props for beating Volkanovski. That’s some real sportsmanship right there. But the BMF champion is not letting that win intimidate him. He feels like he’s got an ace up his sleeve, and he can’t wait to play it.
“He thinks he knows something. I see him say he’s going to be the first one to, ‘put me out’ and blah, blah. If that’s what you need to get yourself to the fight, please keep telling yourself that all the way to October 26. When we get in the octagon, and that cage closes, we get to find out,” said Holloway.
Max Holloway’s confidence is extremely high going into this fight. He is brushing off Topuria’s attempts at trash talk. He further revealed that despite floating rumors, ‘El Matador’ has not gotten under his skin.
But let’s not forget that Topuria is no joke. He’s got power, speed, and now, a win over Alexander Volkanovski. Their fight is one of epic proportions, and fans are anticipating what will transpire in the Octagon at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.
Max Holloway Believes Ilia Topuria Is A ‘Fan’
Back in April, at the historic UFC 300, Holloway knocked Justin Gaethje so hard he woke up wanting to play Golf! It was a sight to behold, and even the newly crowned featherweight king, Ilia Topuria, couldn’t hide his astonishment.

In a recent chat with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Max Holloway spilled the beans on his thoughts about Topuria. He confessed he couldn’t quite figure Topuria out and called him an “odd fellow.” But amidst all this, Holloway thinks Topuria might secretly be a fan!
“You know, I just noticed yesterday that some people were tagging me on Instagram and Twitter, and I saw that he commented on one of my Instagram post, saying ‘Let’s go, Max!’ I think he’s a fan of mine,” said Holloway.
Ilia Topuria has been playing some serious mind games. He’s been flip-flopping between calling out ‘Blessed‘ and dismissing him. What’s fascinating is how Holloway’s taking all this in stride. He’s cool as a cucumber, brushing off Topuria’s antics and waiting for the real show at UFC 308.
