Already a fan favorite in the company, Holloway has acquired legend status in the UFC. Holloway won a massive $600,000 bonus for the first time in the company’s history. After their bout, Max gave some gigantic props to his opponent, Justin Gaethje, in the post-fight interview.

Max Holloway was facing a formidable opponent in Justin Gaethje at UFC 300’s BMF bout. Gaethje is known for the power he packs in his punches. Gaethje has put a lot of opponents to sleep by his brutal strikes. The fans wondered whether Gaethje’s power or Max’s speed would win the BMF bout. As it turns out, speed triumphs over force, and Holloway is able to put down Justin in a spectacular fashion. Max said,
He missed some shots, I was getting hurt by the winds on the shorts. That’s how hard he hits.
Max said in his post-fight interview that he was getting hurt even when Gaethje missed his shots because of the winds that followed his strikes. Max Holloway took a boxing approach in his fight against the former interim lightweight champion. Holloway shut down the lights of Gaethje in the final second of their twenty-five-minute fight.
Holloway was impressed by Justin’s punching power, but that was not enough to halt Max’s shenanigans inside the octagon. Max Holloway is probably eligible to fight for the title in the company’s Lightweight and Featherweight divisions. He will want to try his luck against Georgian great Ilia Topuria, who holds the belt in his division.
