After Andre Lima’s disqualification victory at UFC Vegas 89 tonight, Dana White gave him an “I got f**king bit bonus.” Lima (7-0 MMA) and Igor Severino (8-1 MMA) faced a battle in the second bout of the thirteen-bout UFC Apex fight event that took place in Las Vegas today.
In the second round of the competition, Severino bit André’s arm while standing close to the cage with Lima’s back. The referee intervened and promptly disqualified Igor Severino for his unacceptable behaviour after noticing the bite mark on André Lima’s arm.
Several professional fighters including Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera, and Tracy Cortez along with others flocked to social media immediately after the unexpected outcome, with several calling for Dana White and the UFC to fire Igor Severino for his heinous behaviour.
The CEO of the UFC Dana White hasn’t yet responded to the situation officially, but he did give Andre Lima a “bite bonus” at yesterday night’s post-fight press conference.

Halfway through the second round, during what appeared to be a harmless wrestling exchange, Andre Lima started ranting and gesturing to veteran referee Chris Tognoni.
Following the event, which brought back flashbacks of Mike Tyson’s 1997 “bite fight” with Evander Holyfield, Severino was disqualified for biting his opponent.

Before Andre Lima raised his arm to see the serious bite marks Severino had made on his bicep, the UFC commentators questioned aloud whether the biting had been an accident.
Hours after his victory, Andre Lima, who had yelled after the incident, uploaded images of the bite and had the phrase “I got f****** bit bonus” tattooed around the marks of his teeth on his bicep.
On his Instagram story, UFC president Dana White stated, “I was going to give him 25k.” I’m handing him $50,000 now. This is fantastic.
Andre Lima proceeded to a nearby tattoo shop to have a lasting memento of Severino’s strange UFC debut as his night continued to get worse.
