The Lightweight division of the company might be the most talented roster in the company. Dan Hooker has been one of the top lightweights for many years now. He’s known for being an elite striker and last fought Jalin Turner in July last year. Hooker is now on a two-fight win streak and will be willing to carry on his winning momentum onto the next fight. Dan Hooker certainly paid heed to what another Lightweight had to say about him. Dan Hooker lashed out at Renato Moicano in a recent interview.
Hooker has been outside of the octagon for more than ten months now. He is set to return in the cage soon.
Dan Hooker lashes out at Renato Moicano
Renato Moicano was in the famed UFC 300 card and won via a spectacular submission. Moicano dominated Jalin Turner after getting knocked down in the first round. Moicano showed that Islam is not the only purebred grappler in the UFC who can submit tough fighters inside the octagon. Renato Moicano, in an interview, called Dan Hooker ‘an easy fight.’ This certainly did not go well with Hooker, and the New Zeland native replied,
If Beneil doesn’t want it, Moicano calling me ‘easy money,’ brother, you’re the easiest money I’ve ever seen in my life, you chinless scumbag. I’ll come for him in a heartbeat.
Dan Hooker made it clear that he would love to take on Beneil Dariush in the Octagon, and if he doesn’t want to scrap, he will happily take on Renato Moicano. Hooker clarified that Renato calling him easy money does not go down well with him. Hooker is a natural kickboxer as he hails from the famous MMA camp, City Kickboxing. Israel Adesanya comes from the same MMA camp in the UFC.
It’ll be interesting to see how a bout between Moicano and Hooker goes. Will Moicano be able to dominate Hooker on the ground will be interesting to see. Dan Hooker owns some elite takedown defense in the UFC, and he has got one of the best forward knee attacks in the company. Hooker has got into some of the most memorable wars in UFC, when he fought Dustin Poirier and when he fought Jalin Turner.
