Alex Pereria has stated that he wants to be an active champion in the company. Magomed Ankalaev is one of the top Light Heavyweight contenders in the company. Ankalaev made it clear on his social media that he would finish Pereira when they met in the octagon. Magomed wanted to take on Alex in Saudi Arabia later this year. But Pereira made it clear that he wanted to fight earlier. In an interview, Pereira said,

Alex Pereira clarified that he wants to fight to take on former champion Jiri Prochazka in the octagon. Alex already won against Jiri in the octagon after he knocked him out in the second round to claim the title. Pereira won the light Heavyweight title after knocking out Jiri Prochazka. Prochazka last won against Aleksandar Rakic in the octagon in the UFC 300. Prochazka beat Rakic in after taking some heavy damage from him.

Many believe the last time Pereira and Jiri fought the fight was stopped a bit earlier. Alex wants to take him on and settle the score once and for all. Every MMA fan would want to witness the high-level striking battle between Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira.
