The UFC 300 concluded recently. The event was headlined by Alex Pereira, who was defending his belt against Jamahal Hill. Pereira showed everyone his kickboxing credentials and why he was the absolute favorite in the Light Heavyweight title bout. Alex Pereira was a former kickboxing champion at Glory kickboxing and once again proved that he is the best striker in the UFC. Pereira has now acquired titles at two different divisions in the company. Alex has impressed many, including the former champion TJ Dillashaw.
Pereira claimed he would take on his Heavyweight counterparts in the UFC for his upcoming bouts.
Former Bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw high on praise for Alex Pereira
Alex Pereira has been trending on social media since getting his knockout victory against Hill. Pereira was able to finish Hill in the first round of the tournament. TJ Dillashaw became the Bantamweight champion of the world after he knocked out Cody Garbrandt and took home the UFC Gold. Dillashaw was seen talking about Periera’s performance on a recent podcast appearance. TJ said,
Alex Pereira made Jamahal Hill’s eyes roll back by just using his pinky finger.
TJ Dillashaw made it clear that he was impressed by Perreira’s knockout of Hill in the first round. TJ emphasized that Pereria’s left hook barely connected with Jamahal’s face, but still, the man was visibly unconscious. This is a testament to Alex’s power in the UFC. Alex Pereira previously broke Francis Ngannou’s record on the punching machine by a margin.
TJ has knocked out many in the octagon but made it clear that Alex’s knockout was special. Periera is probably the most powerful kickboxer in the UFC. He has knocked out several of his opponents in the first round of his fights. Alex has now beaten five former champions in the UFC in his first eight fights in the octagon. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future with Alex Pereira inside of the octagon.
