However, Khamzat Chimaev is trying to make people remember that Pereira too, had been knocked out in the past. Posting a picture of a KOed Pereira from his match against Israel Adesanya, ‘Borz’ teased ‘Poatan’ with a subtle dig.

This was a direct reference to Alex Pereira’s famous quote, “Chama.” Meanwhile, after having a great 2024, Alex Pereira has his first assignment for 2025 in Magomed Ankalaev. And ahead of the fight, Ankalaev is taking some brutal verbal shots at his five-star opponent.

The beef between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev is not new. In fact, Ankalaev was supposed to fight Pereira last year. Surprisingly, Pereira was pitted against Khalil Rountree Jr. while Ankalaev fought Aleksandar Rakic. Now that the bout is finally made official, the Russian fighter seems quite aggressive.
“I’ve been climbing mountains, chopping wood, swimming in freezing lakes and Alex been dancing and making video like TikTok chick,” Ankalaev said.
