Khalil Rountree has been having some fun before his big showdown with Alex Pereira this coming weekend. With one of the biggest fights of his career on the horizon, Rountree has a legit shot at snatching the light heavyweight title from Pereira at UFC 307. But just a week before this high-stakes battle, he had some fun, pulling a prank on one of his training partners in the latest episode of UFC Embedded, proving he’s keeping it light before going to war.
Rountree Jr. has been staying with his team in Salt Lake City for UFC 307 training camp, and during this time, he found out that his teammate, Darryl King Walker, has a major fear of Bigfoot. Seeing the perfect chance for a prank, ‘The War Horse’ teamed up with the UFC camera crew and got one of his coaches to wear a Bigfoot suit. In the video, the 34-year-old said,
“He’s mentioned it many times. So we thought it would be funny to bring Bigfoot to Park City and scare the hell out of Darryl tonight, he’s going to s*** himself for real.”
That night, they headed into the woods to set up the prank. Pretending to hear strange noises, they turned on flashlights and “spotted” the fake Bigfoot—one of the coaches in the suit. Everyone started running, adding to Walker’s terror.
He appeared visibly scared, but they revealed the prank when they brought the suited-up ‘Bigfoot’ into the room, finally letting Walker in on the joke. He looked clearly shaken but relieved. However, beyond the pranks, the 34-year-old Rountree is looking to showcase some hidden moves against Pereira at UFC 307.
