Khabib’s protege and fellow Dagestani Islam Makhachev are set to take on Dustin Poirier in the cage, and Nurmagomedov is coaching Islam. A recently released training footage revealed how he’s implementing his strategy with his teammates.
Khabib Nurmagomedov makes a massive revelation
Khabib Nurmagomedov was seen imparting worldly MMA wisdom to his teammates ahead of their scheduled bouts. In a recently uploaded training footage, the former Lightweight champion revealed how he has been helping out his team members. Khabib said,
Every day there are different loads and different workouts because this is mixed martial arts. You need to develop everything- wrestling, striking technique, freestyle wrestling, control, endurance, speed.
Khabib was spotted dictating the terms of the training camp to his fellow Dagestani brothers. The group was spotted getting involved in various workouts on the training mat. The Eagle made it clear that the training setup of an MMA camp has to be dynamic so the fighters can teach all forms of martial arts. Nurmagomedov has fought the best fighters in the UFC, and the man knows how things operate at the highest level of MMA.
Khabib Nurmagomedov hung up his gloves after winning against Justin Gaethje in the second round of their fight. It was heartening to see the Dagestani once more on the MMA mat, but this time as a coach.

The Russian great will be spotted cage side when Islam Makhachev takes on Dustin Poirier in the octagon. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future and if Islam will be the Lightweight champion after the UFC 302 concludes. Only time will tell if Makhachev will overtake Khabib’s status as the Lightweight GOAT.
