Former Bellator champion Michael Chandler is ecstatic as the UFC finally announces his next bout against Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor last fought almost three years back against Dustin Poirier when he suffered from a gruesome leg break at the end of the first round.
The Irishman underwent several surgeries and is finally making a comeback. His rival, Michael Chandler, is excited about his bout against the former two-division champion in the UFC.
Michael Chandler last fought at the end of 2022 when he lost to Justin Gaethje in the octagon. He’s been waiting on the sidelines since then.

Michael and Conor McGregor are set to scrap and find out who the better man is in June. The MMA world has been anticipating the bout for years, and the UFC has finally announced it is happening in June. The return of the Mac is always a humongous affair inside the octagon, but Chandler has bigger plans for the special occasion. In a recent interview, Chandler said,
We want to break that Khabib number.
Michael Chandler made it clear that he wants their PPV to have even more significant numbers than Conor’s fight with Khabib had. Conor took on Khabib to challenge his lightweight title in 2018 but lost after Khabib choked him out in round four. Khabib and Conor’s card made more than two million pay-per-view purchases in the company. It is the highest in UFC history and one of the highest in fight history.

Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon after three years will be a massive affair and might be the highest-selling pay-per-view card of the year. Chandler and Conor coached against each other in the last season of TUF, and Michael won by a humongous margin. Conor will be willing to level the score by scoring a victory against him at UFC 303 on the 29th of June. McGregor is still the biggest superstar in the UFC, and it will be interesting to take note of the fan fair during the fight week.
